Here’s some common and interesting words used by native English speaking children!


ここで、こどもがよく使う英語のフレーズを紹介します。

OW / OUCH
Used to describe when in pain. For example if a child trips over and grazes their knee – OUCH!

OW / OUCH(アウ/アウチ)痛みを表現するときに使います。
たとえば、転んでひざを擦りむいた時! OUCH!

EWW / EWWWWWW
Used to describe something that doesn’t taste, look, smell, feel or sound very nice. For example a child touching a slimy eel – EWWWW!

EWW/EWWWWWW(イウ/イ~~~ウ) においや、味、見た目、感触などが悪いときに使います。
たとえば、うなぎを触ったとき、ぬるぬる~っとして!気持ちが悪かったら! EWW/EWWWWWW!

YUCK / YUCKY
Mostly used to describe something that doesn’t taste very nice but can also be used like EWW. For example a child refusing to eat broccoli – YUCK!

YUCK/YUCKY (ヤック/ヤッキー) これはEWWと同じように使いますが、特に食べ物のときに使います。
たとえば、ブロッコリーが嫌いな子ががんばって食べてみるけど・・・やっぱりおいしくなくて・・・! YUCK!

YUM / YUMMY
Used to describe something that tastes nice. For example a child eating an ice cream – YUMMY!

YUM/YUMMY (ヤム/ヤミー) おいしい~というときに使います。
たとえば、大好きなアイスクリームを食べたとき! YUMMY!!

OOPS / OOPS-A-DAISY
Used to describe having an accident or making a mistake. For example spilling a glass of water – OOPS!

OOPS/OOPS-A-DAISY (ウープス/ウプシーアデイジー) 何か失敗したときなどに使います。
たとえば、コップのお水をこぼしてしまった! OOPS!

UH OH
Used in the same way as OOPS, or it can also be used to express alarm or concern. For example a child breaking a glass – UH OH!

UH OH! (オッオー) OOPSと同じように使いますが、心配事など不安な気持ちを表現するときに使います。
たとえば、コップを割ってしまって、お母さんに怒られちゃう!と心配になって・・・UH OH!
